Competition Seminar at Chuck Merriman Karate International (Niantic, CT on 2/10/2008)
Syracuse Jundokan members attended a seminar hosted by Sensei Chuck Merriman. First, Sensei Merriman lectured on competition preparation and success. Then Syracuse Jundokan member, Bryan Randazzo, lead a warm-up and conditioning session. This was followed by Sensei Sergey Kushnir and Sensei David Oddy of Syracuse Jundokan teachning sessions on competitive kumite. Finally, Sensei Domingo Llanos taught a session on karate basics and competition kata and then Sensei Merriman finished up with a preview into Gekisai bunkai and a question/answer session.
